Payment is also accepted via <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">Paypal<\/span> though there is a 4% service charge for this. Paypal can accept certain credit card transactions.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">What about credit and payment terms?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">We generally request customers work to our standard payment terms for at least the first order. These are <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">50% deposit and 50% prior to shipping<\/span>. It is possible to negotiate other payment terms such as Net 30, but these are agreed on a case by case basis.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">Are lead times in working days or calendar days?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">Lead times are quoted in <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">calendar days<\/span>. As per our Terms and Conditions, quoted lead times commence only after completion and confirmation of design for manufacturing review and the beginning of actual production.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">How does Dakings Rapid compare to other suppliers on price?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">Although direct comparisons are difficult, Dakings's prices will be typically <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">25-45% less<\/span> for plastic injection mold tools and CNC machined \/ turned parts when compared to suppliers in North America and Europe.\r\n\r\nAs compared to Chinese suppliers, we choose to not to compete on price but to offer the highest levels of quality, rapid response and professional results.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">How do I know my design will be kept confidential?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">We of course will sign and adhere to any non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement. We also have a strict policy within our factory that no photographs are ever allowed of a customer's product without express permission. Ultimately we rely on our reputation of working with hundreds of thousands of unique designs over many years and never allowing any proprietary information to be disclosed to a third party.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">Can I use my own master model for making duplicate copies for vacuum casting or CNC machining?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">Yes, master models are used to create silicone molds for vacuum casting and can be made from any rigid solid that can withstand heat up to 100\u00b0 C. Models used for CNC machining will be 3D scanned to create a CAD\/CAM program for production.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">Can I use my own material for production?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">Yes, customer-supplied material is fine so long as it fits with our machine capabilities.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">What if I am not happy?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">If the parts reach you and for whatever reason you are not satisfied you should notify Dakings Rapid within <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">7 days<\/span> of receiving the parts and we will replace or rework for free.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">What are Dakings Rapid's shipping terms?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">All projects are <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">DDU<\/span> unless otherwise stated. This means the quote includes all freight and charges to a port of your choice. Any and all import and other taxes in your country are your own responsibility. If you require different shipping terms these can be negotiated on a case by case basis.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">What tolerances can you achieve?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">Dakings Rapid generally work to <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">ISO 2768-1<\/span> (F for machined metal, M for machined plastic, C for vacuum casting). We can sometime hit tighter tolerances, but this depends on the part geometry and material. If you require tighter tolerances than the ISO standard stated above these must be stated and negotiated at the time of quotation.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">How do you manage quality?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\"><strong>Stage One:<\/strong> Full DFM at time of quotation by highly experienced engineers. They will highlight any problem areas or make suggestions for changes. \r\n<strong>Stage Two:<\/strong> Incoming inspection of materials with our own <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">PIM Spectrometer<\/span>. \r\n<strong>Stage Three:<\/strong> Full QC inspection and report before shipping.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">How long to get a quote?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">We aim to quote all prototype projects within 24 hours. All rapid tooling projects within 24 hours. All injection molding, production and export tooling within 3 days. There are sometimes processes and materials which Dakings Rapid does not offer in house; these could add time to the quotation and will be highlighted as and when.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-item\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-question-title\">What type of files do you accept for quoting?<\/div>\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-answer-content\">\r\n <div class=\"dr-faq-text\">In order to provide an accurate and timely quote, we only accept 3D CAD files in <span class=\"dr-brand-color\">STL, STEP or IGES<\/span> format. 2D drawings with reference dimensions must be in PDF format. Please do not provide any other manufacturing information as part of this technical documentation.
